Distillery raided, huge cache of liquor and narcotic recovered
ISLAMABAD, APR 03 (DNA) – A distillery was raided in Margalla Town Khanna police station area which led to the recovery of a huge quantity of alcohol, hashish and other materials recovered police said.
Following directions and guidance of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar, police spokesperson said that renewed efforts are underway to curb bootlegging and drug peddling activities in the city.
DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed has conducted special meetings with heads of police stations and directed them to accelerate efforts against anti-social elements.
On a tip off, SP (Investigation) Dr Syed Mustafa Tanveer constituted a team to raid at a distillery in the area. This team under the supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including Sub-Inspector Tariq Rauf along with other conducted a raid and recovered huge quantity of alcohol, other materials, 1202 gram hashish from him.
Police team also nabbed a lady accused Sajid Sohail s/o Boota Masih resident of sector G-6/2 Islamabad During the raid. Case has been register against the nabbed accused and further investigation is Underway from him.
DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed has appreciated this performance and directed for further effective measures against those involved in bootlegging or anti-social activities. =DNA
