Pakistan FM invites Malay traders to get benefits of investment
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 04 (DNA): Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has invited the Malaysian investors to invest in different sectors of Pakistan including Information Technology, energy, Halal food, oil and gas and construction of inexpensive houses.
Talking to the business community at a reception in Kuala Lumpur on Monday, he said Pakistan’s economy is now heading towards stability as a result of difficult decisions taken by PTI government.
Foreign Minister said our positive economic policies have restored confidence of foreign investors and it is the first time in the last three years that the volume of investment has reached 340 million dollars.
He said government is undertaking sincere efforts to ensure ease of doing business and this is the reason that the World Bank has declared Pakistan amongst the top ten improvers in the ease of doing business.
It may be noted that Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi is in Malaysia on a two-day visit to attend Kuala Lumpur summit.
He was invited to the summit by his Malaysian counterpart. During his visit, the Foreign Minister will also hold talks with Malaysian leadership, including Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.
He will visit Pakistan High Commission and inaugurate a Community Center established for facilitation of Pakistani community.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi will also hold meetings with representatives of Pakistani business community and apprise them about investment opportunities in Pakistan.=DNA
