Uzbekistan to open 39 schools specialized in teaching foreign languages
In all regions of Uzbekistan, specialized schools for the study of the German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Chinese languages will be created in 2020-2021. This decision is provided for by the relevant Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The document notes that training will be based on state educational standards. It is planned to involve the best domestic and foreign teachers of the German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Chinese languages in the process. Domestic specialists will improve their skills abroad.
One of the main tasks of schools is to prepare pupils for national and international subject Olympiads, competitions and other events.
Until January 1, 2020, the Ministry of Public Education, together with other relevant departments, will develop a curriculum for specialized schools.
In accordance with the resolution of the CM “On measures to introduce a mechanism for a phased transition to the creation and use of alternative textbooks for secondary public schools”, adopted on April 5, 2019, the government allows specialized schools to use alternative textbooks in stages.
