Tribal people proved they are pro-democratic: Mahmood Khan

PESHAWAR (DNA) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan said the tribal people proved in ex-FATA elections that they are pro-democratic.
While addressing a presser, Mahmood Khan maintained that the process of merger of erstwhile FATA into KP has completed and affirmed that the promises made with tribal people will be fulfilled.
The KP chief minister vowed that progress will be made in the tribal districts just like the rest of the province. The polls result would have been different had the government intervened in the elections, he said.
Some Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidates fought the elections independently which harmed the party, and action will be taken against them. He told that he has invited the successful independent candidates to join PTI.
