CM Buzdar lays foundation stone of Baba Guru Nanak University
LAHORE (DNA) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar visited Nankana Sahib District where he was warmly received by Federal Interior Minister Brig. (R) Ijaz Shah, assembly members and the district administration where he laid the first stone of Baba Guru Nanak University.
This university will comprise of 10 acres of land and will be completed with an amount of Rs6 billion. This university is an important step towards completion of Prime Minister’s promises and would help lacs of students of Nankana Sahib District and other adjoining areas. “Establishment of Baba Guru Nanak University in Nankana Sahib is part of Prime Minister’s vision,” he said
Usman Buzdar inaugurated the first TDCP motel of Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab which has been completed with the cost of Rs.13 crore to help promote religious tourism in the district.
He also planted a sapling and expressed the satisfaction that the new facility will provide the best facilities to Sikh pilgrims and other tourists. Punjab government is providing best facilities to the Sikh community at their religious places under a policy of religious harmony, he added.
