British high commissioner hosts event for Pakistan cricket team
ISLAMABAD, APR 19 (DNA) – An event to wish the Pakistan National Cricket team good luck ahead of next month’s Cricket World Cup was hosted by the British High Commissioner, Mr Thomas Drew CMG.
At the event were the players selected for the World Cup, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mr Ehsan Mani, the team coaches and senior members of the PCB.
Speaking at the reception the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Mr Thomas Drew CMG, said:
“It is a great privilege to host the Pakistan National Cricket Team at the British High Commission today, before they head off to the UK for the Cricket World Cup in England and Wales.
A shared love of cricket is one of the many bonds that bring our two countries together. I wish the team a fantastic stay.
They will receive a very warm welcome. We can certainly expect some fabulous cricket. And I hope that one day soon I will also be welcoming an England cricket team to Pakistan.”=DNA
