PM Imran performs ground-breaking of New Gwadar International Airport
GWADAR (DNA) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said that development of Gwadar will benefit the entire region in the future.
Addressing the ground breaking ceremony of New Gwadar International Airport, he said that with the construction of the airport, aircrafts like A-380 could also make landing and the airport would have the capacity of handling 30,000 tonnes of cargo.
The New Gwadar International Airport would be completed in three years at the cost of Rs40 billion.
The airport is being declared an important project of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The construction of the airport would be a joint venture between Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and China, which would be constructed according to the modern requirements.
