CJCSC to leave for 4-day visit to Sri Lanka from tomorrow
RAWALPINDI, (DNA) – Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat is visiting Sri Lanka from tomorrow on the invitation of Sri Lankan Chief of Defence Staff Admiral R.C. Wijegunaratne. During his four-day visit, General Zubair will pay a courtesy call on Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena, Chief of Defence Staff, Defence Secretary, Commanders of Sri Lanka Army, Navy and Air Force. He is expected to discuss matters relating to mutual cooperation during meetings with Sri Lankan political and military hierarchy.
Pakistan a strategic partner of Saudi Arabia: Saudi official
ISLAMABAD, (DNA) – Saudi Minister for Culture and Information Dr Awwad Bin Saleh Bin Alawwad has said that Pakistan is Saudi Arabia’s friend and a strategic partner. Talking to Pakistani media persons here on the sidelines of the information ministers meeting of the Allied countries held in Jeddah, he said the two countries had always enjoyed friendly relations and they never had any deadlock. Pilot martyred as fighter jet crashes in Peshawar
PESHAWAR, (DNA) – A small aircraft on Tuesday crashed at the Bacha Khan Airport. the aircraft was on a training mission when it came down. There was no immediate reports about any loss of life and property. the jet caught fire shortly after taking off and came down on the runway. He said the pilot lost his life while attempting to save civilian population near the airport. The runway of the Bacha Khan Airport has been cleared after the incident.
